Adventure Kaps

The aim of Adventure Kaps was to get out and about and to learn more about social skills.  To use imagination and to feel happy to communicate with others.  Inclusion is always an important aspect of our society but likewise, it is also important to be with like-minded people or those who know exactly what it is like to be that bit different.  Adventure Kaps used several environments to help develop all of these skills which included residentials, team building projects, outings to busy places, braving the elements participating in outdoor activities or meeting people who know stuff about stuff like exotic animals or technology.  Whatever the activity the guys at Adventure Kaps are respectful, patient and understanding with each other.

Adventure Kaps members came from all walks of life, some like adventure, others are not so keen to join in but being part of human race meant that they had to give it a go.  Life is an adventure and Kaps was just a part of that.

We had a fantastic team of staff of all ages, of all experiences from Teachers to Parents who were keen to keep the adventure going and to encourage and lead.

Adventure Kaps members also got the opportunity to volunteer to help with other Kaps groups.  This was a great way to learn new skills and responsibilities and also looks great on any CV!

Adventure Kaps was for young people aged 13 upwards.

Our photographs show some of our older Adventure Kaps from earlier years and members of our Team.
